FNM Spotlight: Indomitable Creativity Standard

For those who have not watched any videos in this series before, the FNM Spotlights are where we give an in depth deck techs of brews that Kevin or another member of the team has put together for FNM in the week that the video is publsihed. The formats might be different from week to week depending on what is being played at FNM that Friday, but the series will always offer either a competitive rogue brew that is still in testing or a fun and enjoyable brew around a less competitive card strategy.

In this week’s edition of FNM Spotlight, Kevin brews with Indomitable Creativity in the Standard Format to create a Red-Black deck that mixes the Madness mechanic and two of the Kaladesh Gearhulks to abuse the effect of the brand new Aether Revolt card Indomitable Creativity. You can view Kevin’s “un-play-tested” deck list below:

But how do these cards work together to close out a game, you might ask? After generating a number of tokens with various Madness-mechanic cards like From Under the Floorboards, one can then cast Indomitable Creativity to destroy them and quickly go through the deck to get a Noxious Gearhulk or Combustible Gearhulk onto the battlefield. For the full details about these card synergies and the finer minutia of the deck, you can watch Kevin’s FNM Spotlight video below, or on our official channel by clicking the link in this sentence. Also discussed in this week’s video is how well Indomitable Creativity fits into a couple of the Frontier Format decks that Kevin has also previously brewed up for and how the card might also have potential in MTG’s newest format!

Finally, thank you for joining us for this week’s installment of the FNM Spotlight, and if you enjoy this series be sure to like the video and subscribe to our channel on Youtube, or be a part of our campaign to vote on what decks or cards Kevin should brew with next!
